MITES hosts a NorthernNet Media Access Bureau (MAB) at its base in Liverpool’s FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology).

NorthernNet is a secure, high speed digital network, offering transfer speeds of up to 1GB across the North and beyond. It is connected to a network of other Media Access Bureaux across the North of England and has a direct high-speed link to Media City in Salford.

Our MAB studio is designed with state-of-the-art industry standard kit which you can use to store, edit, transfer, ingest and download files. Plus, you can access the NorthernNet network and transfer any type of media at a speed of up to 1GB. The NorthernNet website provides detailed information about the MAB facilities.
